IDRO SERIES

Calore offers a range of industrial boilers for processes that need hot water. The Idro boiler consists of a step grate burner, complete with combustion chamber, automatic fuel feeding, automatic ignition, automatic ash extraction, and an integrated heat exchanger to deliver hot water.

The Idro boilers from Calore are available with a full set of auxiliary technologies that make them state-of-the-art systems. We offer units that are able to burn wood pellets, wood chips (up to G50 Spec) or any other suitable biomass residues like nutshells or fruit pips (we can assist in assessing the suitability of any biomass as fuel source).

The boilers we offer are designed and engineered by PelleTech®, a leading European biomass company. Our standard model range includes units from 150kW up to 2.2MW. Other ratings are available on request.

FEATURES

  1. The cast iron moving grate system with variable speed allows the efficient combustion of biomass with a moisture content of up to 35%.
  2. Primary combustion air supply via blower fan.
  3. Air inlets for dual-zone secondary combustion air supply. Secondary combustion air control ensures optimal ignition and combustion efficiency.
  4. Reinforced auger for reliable fuel supply.
  5. Automated fuel supply system with an integrated safety device that maintains a continuous seal between the fuel line and the combustion chamber for protection against back burn.
  6. Reliable and energy-efficient auger motor.
  7. Automatic ash extraction system that removes ash from the heat exchanger chamber and deposits it in an external ash container.
  8. Combustion chamber coated with thick refractory concrete, protecting the burner walls against chemical degradation and thermal stress. The refractory lining also allows high temperatures to be reached whilst maintaining optimal combustion efficiency.
  9. Heat exchanger with four double passes (vertical passes for smaller units and horizontal passes for larger units): ensures optimal heat transfer effectiveness.
  10. Automatic heat exchanger cleaning system to prevent fouling.
  11. Electronically-controlled exhaust fan.
  12. Lambda sensor for controlling and optimising the combustion efficiency.
  13. Hot air blower for automatic rapid ignition of fuel.
  14. Automatic ash extraction system that removes ash from the combustion chamber and deposits it in an external ash container.
